Following his undergraduate studies, he pursued a Master's degree in Financial Engineering at the same university, graduating with distinction. Between 2004 and 2012, Özkan held various positions at Finansbank, including Treasury Department, Deposit Investment Products and Upper Income Segment Unit Management, Individual Segments Management, and Sector Banking Group Management. In 2012, he was appointed as Director of High-Income Products and Segment Management, as well as Private Banking Director. Serving as the Deputy General Manager of Private Banking and Asset Management at the bank in 2015, Özkan continued his role as Deputy General Manager of SME and Agriculture Banking until the end of 2017.
